Well it is a great follow up to Game of Thrones. Lots of satisfaction because so much more character development occurred. The are two reason that I did not give that last star. 1- the book ends abruptly, thank goodness the next book had already been published because I heard that George R.R. Martin took years to release the 3rd book and I would have pulled my hair out waiting for a sequel. 2- This reason is the main reason I couldn't give the last star. I could NOT stomach all the RAPE scenes! I know, I know the author is trying make sure we understand how brutal war could be and how much the "small folk" suffer! But, I got it already!!!! I got it. I really hope those scenes not reappear in the next book. BECAUSE I GOT IT, George!

A very clever, intricate and brilliant book, i moved straight on to book 3 of his series!!
