P G Woodhouse for the humour and ‘Lucky Jim’ by Kingsley Amis for the anti-hero.

‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’.

Surprise; Definite;

Funny, Imaginative, Careful.
 6.Which of your characters would you most like to be and why?
My principal character - Marcus Moon. He’s my alter ego.

Bernard Cornwell.

In my office which is attached to my house

I’m a mood writer, but usually early mornings and late at night.
10.What makes you happy?
Seeing all my family getting on well together and having a warm, loving relationship

Falling into a deep hole from a great height

I enjoy all of them.

Loyalty.

Loyalty.
15.Would you be lying if you said your works were not autobiographical?
They combine some autobiographical stuff with some hearsay from others coupled with a lot of imagination.
16.What part of your personality do you detest?
I don’t detest any part but I would like to find it easier to be more sociable.
17.What is your favorite adjective?
Superb.
18.What is your favorite book?
A childhood book – ‘Coral Island’ by R M Ballantyne. It made me love reading.
19.What book would you read three times?
I like re-reading my own books but for other authors I think ‘Coral Island’.
20.To whom would you award the Nobel Prize for Literature and why?
That’s far beyond me, I’m not pretentious enough to do that!
