I finished reading Body Language by Allan Pease today. I don't usually like reading non-fiction, but I'm hoping to do study this as a career. I find body language fascinating, especially after watching two series of Lie To Me. The only problem is that now I'm going to conscious of every gesture that someone makes, and will be unintentionally be trying to analyze them, as well as constantly fidgeting to make sure I don't make negative gestures! Has anyone else given much thought to "kinesics"?

Thank you, and actually I've found it's not as bad as I thought it would be since coming back to college. However, I have noticed a gestures here and there that before I wouldn't have given any thought to, which is really interesting.

Hi Amy-Laura

I did this at uni when studying psychology. Watching people twitching and how they sit and stand is fascinating and illuminating but the novelty does wear off. its still v useful in certain situations --I 've never beenable to master any of it to come thru customs though --always look guilty even when not

best wishes xx
