comment...I read it a number of years ago and much enjoyed it. My nephew took an aprentice ship as a stone mason and was required to read it as part of his training .to me this speaks to the quality of follett's research. In terms of the masons trade and development of tecniques and design the book appears to be quite accurate. Not only a great story but a very informative work.. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the social history of that period.

Just finished The Other Queen. Waiting to get my hands on The Lady of the Rivers. I read all the other books in chronolgical order. Kept getting confused when I read them as I got them. Anyone else have that problem?
