This novel is not for everyone because it is oddball British humour and a version of steampunk and sci-fi fantasy. I’m half way through the book and enjoying it although it was a slow start. The hero, George Fox, gets himself into some awfully dramatic situations and Professor Coffin, Ada Lovelace and a monkey butler share the excitement with him. Hey!!! Just a question for all you avid readers! How do you choose your next book? Recently, I have been looking at the last letter of the last page of the last book I have finished. That letter is going to be the beginning of the next authors last name.
Do you generally just pick based on the mood your feeling?
I just wanted to know how YOU pick your next read!!!

People usually tell me what they are reading in the same genre: spirituality, science fiction or fantasy, and I give it a shot. Have not been disappointed so far!

I finally got this book and finsihed andf it was so cool i cannot wait to read the next book. This book was very adventurous and had some action in it but not enough in my opinion and it also had a bit of romance .
so i give this book 5*
Just started this book yesterday 3/28/11. I am a firm believer in "books trump movies" so I downloaded this to my nook and got started. I couldn't resist since the movie looks good (and my 14 yr old raved about it).
