I started reading as a child. I was going through a very rough few years and reading was always my escape. I would get so excited for book fairs, or when my mom let me order books from Scholastic. I could never have too many books. Not much has changed, I'm the same way now at age 30. My finance constantly jokes I am cheating on him with books! I just like to get lost in them and I don't understand people who don't love to read! I am eclectic; I like so many different books and authors. A few of my favorite authors are Emily Giffin, Jodi Picoult, and David Pelzer (Who couldn't love an author who is willing to share so much of his absolutely horrific life with the world!)

I have loved reading crime books and watching crime shows since I was little. The more scared I became the better it was. It's no wonder that when I grew up I produced a television series on true crime. I'm never without a true crime or fiction book next to me. And there's so much and so many authors to get to know. That's what I love about the genre and love about the crime club. Getting recommendations, reviews and suggestions by all our members is brilliant.
