this book is awesom

I enjoyed how the author tied different threads and motivations together in this one, although I struggled with reading this, the first half of the book was a bit slow and bogged down in too much background for me, with not nearly enough Bartimaeus to lighten the proceedings. The 2nd half of the book flowed along very well, and all that background worked paid off with the tie ins. It was an alright read.
