Description

So just made this account; how does it work? Can you actually read FULL books online or just part of a book? HELP.

And I have to read "Life of Pi" for Summer reading..can someone summarize the book real quick.

I thought this book was just great, yes it takes a while to get going- do we really need the first 90 or so pages? but once you get into it, when they are on the lifeboat, it is great. You can almost taste the salt water and i really feared the tiger, and felt for him as well. The character of Pi is well constructed and his determination is steely. The writing is great and really convincing. Glad I read it.

It would have to be fairly good, wouldn't it? I mean, it did win The Man Booker Prize, Best Novel Winner, in 2002.

I am kind of reading this at the moment but just cannot get into it. I am mid-chapter 17 so hopefully it will begin to pick up soon! I have heard good ratings about it so I will stick to it as best as I can.

Stick with it. The first part of the book is less intriguing. Its beautifully written even if at time you have to suspend your beliefs. The remarkable challenge of a boy and a Bengal tiger working together to survive at sea while keeping eachother at bay will keep you intrigued and the 200 odd days journey across the ocean will go in no time. Enjoy!
