PezterI'm listening to the audio book of one of my favourite King novels. The childhood friendships seen through the haze of memories of summers long gone are pitch perfect, and the horror is real and meaningful. And i can't help but picture Tim Curry's fantastic performance as Pennywise the dancing clown.

One of my favourite Stephen King novels. Truly frightening! I'm going to have to read it again ;-)

i could never read this book again. it took me a good month to be able to get far enough into it that i could actually not throw it at the wall. i can normally go through a book at tops 3 days.however other books of his i have reread(misery, pet sematary, the dark half, thinner)

I feel that way about some of his more recent books. In my opinion they've been tedious and I find myself skimming through the book and getting somewhat frustrated at points. It, however was so scary to me.... perhaps because I have a slight fear of creepy clowns and feel a bit claustraphobic in dark, damp holes in the ground (sewers). And yes- I have spent some time in sewers, and no- I didn't enjoy it!

hehehe- I have noooo problem with Ronald McDonald either. He should look much creepier- maybe I'd stay out of there.
