Description

An ancient secret brotherhood.

A devastating new weapon of destruction.

An unthinkable target.

World-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a cryptic symbol seared into the chest off a murdered physicist. What he discovers is unimaginable: a deadly vendetta against the Catholic Church by a centuries-old underground organization -- the Illuminati. Desperate to save the Vatican from a powerful time bomb, Langdon joins forces in Rome with the beautiful and mysterious scientist Vittoria Vetra. Together they embark on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and the most secretive vault on earth...the long-forgotten Illuminati liar.

As good as, if not better than The Da Vinci Code - exciting and very interesting too

I absolutely love how Dan Brown interweaves so many historical details into the story, especially the bizarre little-known tales. His books make you rethink everything you have been taught to believe without question. I did think the movie should have been longer and included more about the development of anti-matter.

liked this better than Da Vinci code, maybe because i read Da Vinci when everyone was blabbing the storyline whilst i read this one when only a handful of people i knew, did.

Not as good as the Da Vinci Code. I am not sure why - possibly because the plot feels strained to the limits of the absurd. Still quite fun to read!

I was so excited to read this after the Da Vinci code and I was not disappointed in the least! Fantastic, a perfect followup.

It garbed me except that when I went to watch the movie the movie was not like the book at all and I was pretty mad about it because the books I read I get put into a theater in my head and if the book is really good I don't stop reading it.

This was a fantastic read. I did see the movie as well and usually I prefer the book by a mile. This time however, I enjoyed them both almost equally.
