The problem was I did not know it was a book until after I was three quarters through the series. Most of my reading is Nonfiction. Though I liked the series so much when I found out it was a book I bought the series and read it each year. I let the season play out first not watching it and read the book then I go back and watch the series. The adaptation I can say that I most like book to film is Lord of The Rings, and Gettysburg. The for me are the best films I have seen that come closest to the books read.

I think that most of readers agree that it is always more fun to read the book first and watch the film version after as it is somebody's vision of the book and of course their vision might be quite different from yours. However, sometimes these adaptations work quite well can you think of one that you really liked?
