Description

Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third installment of this "highly addictive series" ("Romantic Times"), in which Zoey's mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having "three "boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn't get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey's horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth...

I loved the book and the series, though I havent finished it. Zoey irritates me with her many love intrest though. And theyre are to many books in this series.

This is the book where it all goes horribly wrong for the heroine, and I think this has been the best book so far, as the house of cards comes crumbling down. I was finding Zoey very young, and self absorbed, and all OMG which boy should I choose, and I like that it all came against her in the end, and this will take the series a more interesting direction, particularly with her friends no longer trusting her

Loved this book!

It really picked up. I was deterred to read it, but picked up this and the next book at the public library. I read this book in a day. It was really good.

It picked up and the pace was fast. I didn't realize I had read that much until after I checked the page count.

This book had many twist and turns. I was on the edge of my seat throughtout a lot of the book.

Sick with worrying about what Zoey's gotten herself into. I recommend this book to anyone, regardless if you like vampyres or not.

Book Crazy

I'm going to try to read this series. I have the first book on hold at my library. I have so many books that I have to read. But I will try to get through the ones I can get through & if I can't finish some, I just can't. Right now, I have "Black" by Ted Dekker..I'm not quite so sure about that one right now and I think I tried to read it once before and couldn't finish it. But I noticed that sometimes, if I try a book at a later date. I might be able to finish it. I believe I finished a couple books doing that. It just wasn't my time to read it the first time I guess. But I am rambling...sorry...lol
