Ahhhh, the famous Mortal Instruments series. I must admit that I was more than a little frightened to start this series because everyone says how epically amazing this series is... and I am no different.Clary was totally my kind of chick! Fabulously sarcastic and funny. Simon reminded me of MY best friend, sweet, funny and too naive. Isabelle completely rocked my world dude. She was awesomeness dude, a complete badass through and through. Alec... oh Alec...I loved him.Jace, oh dear... SEX. Dirty, hot sex is the only thing that comes to mind when I think of Jace. Sorry.I can't believe how amazing this book was! The fight scenes are ferocious, the romance is yummy, add in betrayal, love, loss and lies- City of Bones will be hard to top, I cannot WAIT to start City of Ashes!!!

I believe that newly teenagers, like moi, should read the City of Bones series. It is the most outstanding series that I've read so far. Cassandra Clare really out did herself, once I started the series I couldn't stop. Her description is so on point. it actually feels like you are literally watching a movie. I extremely recommend this series to anyone who wants to read about a heart pounding, adrenaline pumping romance that always has you at the edge of your seat!

If you love romance. vampires and werewolves and wizards and hot and sexy men who fight and kill demons.. jace and chary and faeries read the city of bones books by Cassandra Clare there breath taking and hard to put down. romance and thrilling twists and turns =) word of advice do not read the description in the inside of the book it gives away to much and ruins the book.. but other than that start reading and have fun and tell me what you think and if you ha... more

Anyone read City of Bones (the first book of the Mortal Instruments series) by Cassandra Clare? I am only on the 14th chapter. It took a couple of chapters before the book became interesting to me. Right now I love it! Also any recommendations for books (I LOVE the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast, and Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatric)

hey guys just started reading city of bones yesterday and from what ive read it is a really good book. its full of mystery, adventure, action, romance and supernatural stuff. plus its got a really hot main guy in it. so that always helps. (lol). will defently review it after:)

I love this book, the whole series really. I got it on a whim when I was desperate for something interesting to read. This book was nothing like I expected. Once I started I couldn't put it down and had the trilogy finished within a few days.

I didn't just enjoy the story, but the way Cassandra Clare writes as well. Her dialogue is wonderful, affording the characters the ability to have full personalities. She doesn't just keep telling you the characters are funny, arrogant, jealous or geeky (which is one of my biggest peeves), she gives them the right dialogue to get you laughing and responding to the characters in the way she wants.

I'm glad she later decided to add a fourth book to this set and the related Infernal Devices trilogy is another high point on the horizon.

I highly recomened the mortal instruments series by Casandra Clare so far it contains 4 books city of bones, city of ashes, city of glass and city of fallen angels. There are absolutely amazing and i cant wait for the next two. I have also heard rumors that there making the series into a movie. I hope its as good as the books :D

i loveed loveed it sooo much there is sooo many twists n turns n u never know wat 2 expect.... the ending is shocking... won't tell but can't wait 2 read the sceond book in the series of the mortal instrument series... comment if u like <3 the book... =))))

Some of my favorite books ever ;D My friend introduced me to them and ever since then, I have been a Mortal Instruments FANATIC. Totally worth reading ;D You won't regret it!! I just wish that the next book would come out already!! I finished City of Fallen Angels =] TEAM JACE!!!

LOVE this book. the only thing i didnt really get was why would the Cassandra Clare make jace and clary kiss if they were brother and sister? even if they find out at the end. but still awesome book
