Clockwork Angel

I checked this book out at the library as a "new" book. I only had three weeks to read it. I finished it in two days. When I came back to reality, I was like, "what's a computer?"

That's the bad thing about libraries; you can't keep the books! :(

This was highly enjoyable, setting it in Victorian London made it very atmospheric, and the characters were complex and interesting. It took me a while to like most of them, but I got there and became very intrigued with each of their personal dramas by the end of it. It was action packed and interesting, even if I did pick up on the “twist” such as it was pretty much straight way. Great start to the series and I’m looking forward to the next book.

just read this book could't put it down

I am about quarter of the way through this book and so far i have found it amazing it is so detailed in the way she describes the way the characters look and move. I am really looking forward seeing what happens next but will post a full review later! :)

Clockwork Angel sparked my love for reading all over again. I particularly loved how the scene is set in historical London. Although the rest of the series does not follow in the past, this prequel is a wonderful way to fall in love with the dialect, slang, and this interpretation of the Nephilim's world. This sometimes tragic love story plays out wonderfully. I would suggest this book and the series that follows to anyone that loves a forbidden love, magically charged tale.
