Description

A New York Times Bestselling Author

Cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse has only a few close friends, which isn't surprising - not many people can appreciate Sookie's abilities as a mind reader. When she sees her brother Jason's eyes start to change, Sookie knows he's about to turn into a werepanther for the first time. But her concern for her brother becomes cold fear when a sniper targets the local changeling population - and Jason's new panther brethren suspect he may be the shooter.

I actually really liked this one and thought it was possibly a bit better than some of the others. I'm just wondering how many more men can become interested in Sookie??????

Other than wishing Bill would just bugger off and that Sookie would forget about him while they’re at it every time Bill shows up in the book, I really enjoyed this one again. Eric is still there, Alcide is getting less likeable and Quinn being thrown in adds another dimension to the men stacking up in Sookie’s life. I’m not really interested in the werewolves so much, so the focus on them was a little meh, but the rest unfolded really well

I love this series, and often reread it (as I am now actually lol) This book almost seems a side story but an important one. I was shocked with Alide's treatment of Sookie, him leaving her in the dark and trying to blackmail her, and even wished they could have went further with him. I saw many chance for a relationship and they start off with a great friendship and attraction, Ito happen. They needed a chance and there was soooo much potential and opportunity!!!
