Description

When unworldly student Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged young entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and ultimately repelled by Christian’s singular sexual tastes, Ana demanded a deeper commitment; determined to keep her, Christian agreed. Now, together, they have more—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy and being together poses challenges neither of them ever anticipated. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity, identity, or independence; Christian must somehow overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that blighted his past and haunt his present. Just when it seems that together their love can conquer any obstacle, tragedy, malice and fate combine to make Ana’s worst nightmares come true.

I love this book...I just wish we can see his point of view. ..

I loved this trilogy. It shone light on a subject that is very common. This particular community has a great sense of dicipline, restraint and also untapped pleasures that you can get by adding pain into the equation. However, the last book in the triology, i believe has a very dissapointing ending, which in turn made this book a predictable romantic novel. But nontheless a very steamy read! Made my boyfriend very jealous.

Just finished all three E L James' books as well. They drew me in and had me thinking about the self doubt much like Ana and Christian. because of this series I decided to take a risk and try finding love once again.

I think by the time I got around to reading the third book, I’d lost any interest in the outcome of Christian and Ana’s story, with it being much the same as the second book. The same thing happening over and over again, it got repetitive and annoying. The climax was pretty predictable and fairly cliché, although I did quite enjoy her putting Christian’s perspective from their first meeting at the start of the book. This was marginally better than the second book in the sense that I didn’t want to punch them quite so much… how that goes for a recommendation, I’m not sure.

I have to agree, the first book was a cute page turner with a nice love story but their entire story could have been put in the first book only. The second and third were redundant. I don't understand all the hype behind that book, if its due to the naughtiness then shoot there has been authors that have already corned that market. Check out Zane. (if you dare)

Can't wait to see the movie!

I read the first book in the series within a few days. I thought the second book was even better. Unfortunately I lost interest half way through the third book. I recommend not to read all three in a row and maybe read a different book between. I think it would keep it more interesting.

I have read all three in less than five days! i only heard about the book and the dirty stuff that goes on. i didnt expect such and intense story line!!! im craving more!!! though it's got in my head and got me very emotional, longing for that kind of love and passion! (yes i have issues now. haha) such a fantastic trilogy!!! yet i almost regret reading them because , to me, the story is so emotional

I sure the movie isn't going to be any where as good as the books because there is no way that they will be able to include all of the sex scenes, not without an X rating..lol

mallyhally commented:

Exactly my thoughts!! No way the movie will be as good as the book without it been Xrated!!! lol.

how do you read the book on here?

annaTRR commented:

Unfortunately you cannot read all books for free on our site, however we do have a lot of free material to read and there are a few different ways to find it. First you can look on the title profile page: if there is a Google preview sign click on this link which will take you to Google books page where you can read free parts of the book. You can also often find another button on the title page: this one says read free sample chapter, clicking on that will take you to a PDF file which has a free chapter authorized either by author or publisher. Finally you can also go under Discover books tab and follow the link to preview books to read online. This will take you to a list of titles that either have a complete book or sample chapter available for you to read. Happy reading!

I think this was the best of the Fifty series. This book had the most meat in terms of plot and story, where the other two got repetitive with all the sex (how many different ways are there to describe an orgasm really?) All in all a good series...not the best...but good.

Just finished the Trilogy and I really enjoyed it. I liked the Ana character and her imperfections and inner battles between herself, her goddness and subconcious. I could actually relate to those conflicts and I thought it was neat how the author depicited their differing reactions to various senerios. I agree with the other posts in that Ana was always the one in control...whenever she said stop or used her safeword it ended immediately. The sex were glorious but I must say a few times I was like...sex again really!! (lol) Overall the book did what any good book does for me. It kept me interested, entertained and wanting more. Not everyone's cup of tea (Twinnings...lol) but a very good trilogy nonetheless.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE these books, but has anyone gotten the vibe that it is the Twilight saga less the vampires and Werewolves? The love story feels the same.

Pleaze. People are you that deprived? Christian's sexual tastes? His obsession to control in and out of the bedroom of horrors. He just uses his tragic past to justify his present psychopathic tendicies. Leading the reader down the path love can conquer all is a bit much.

This is a well crafted story- from the beginning. It's infatuation, then love, psychosis, and if you were paying attention - she had all the control - not Grey. I got this book because of the stories I heard of how gritty the sex was - it enticed me because it was a NY Times bestseller and they don't usually put racy novels on this list. I became so wrapped up in Ana and Greys lives that I read the whole Trilogy in a weekend. This is not a Love can conquer all - please. This is a mind bending trip through the human psyche spiced with really well crafted characters and hot, rough sex scenes!

menz18 commented:

Avagirl I have to agree with you on Ana having all the control. I'm hoping that E.L James continues with the story and dips deeper into his past. I am so addicted that I have read all three books for the second time and it still keeps me intrigued.

Does anyone know how to loan books on here? I can't seem to figure it out!

annaTRR commented:

Sorry, you can not borrow books from us. We have a lot of books on our preview pages that you can read (partially or completely on line) but unfortunately not all titles have these special features. Our primarily objective is to be a meeting place for people who love to read and want to share their passion with other readers around the world. Are you reading Fifty Shades of Gray? What do you think of it?

This trilogy was a fantastic treat, with rich characters and surprises throughout...an immense journey the main character takes as he finds inner peace and happiness!! I'm looking forward to this authors future books...compelling, suspenseful, and great character development...as well as spicy!!
