J. K. Rowling has announced plans to publish her first novel for adults, which will be "very different" from the Harry Potter books which have sold more than 450 million copies.

"The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry's success has brought me," Rowling said. "Although I've enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series, which has been published so brilliantly by Bloomsbury and my other publishers around the world...The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry's success has brought me, and with that new territory it seemed a logical progression to have a new publisher."

Also, there is nothing wrong with a book being long, in fact its better. when i first read the twilight saga i wanted it to finish. then after i felt all weird. i was like... its done? thats it? no more of bella's life? i felt like crying! and trust me im not a person that cries alot. so the longer the books are, the better, the longer u get to stay with the characters.
