Description

"Night" -- A terrifying account of the Nazi death camp horror that turns a young Jewish boy into an agonized witness to the death of his family...the death of his innocence...and the death of his God. Penetrating and powerful, as personal as "The Diary Of Anne Frank," "Night" awakens the shocking memory of evil at its absolute and carries with it the unforgettable message that this horror must never be allowed to happen again.

"To the best of my knowledge no one has left behind him so moving a record." -- Alfred Kazin

"Wiesel has taken his own anguish and imaginatively metamorphosed it into art." -- Curt Leviant, "Saturday Review"

The book “Night” by Elie Wiesel made The Nobel Peace Prize and made Oprah’s Book Club. I just finished the 120 page 2006 revised copy translated by the Author’s wife, Marion Wiesel. Not much changed from the original story just interpreted in better comprehensible content. It was a great read. I’m glad I choose to read the book.

i read this book twice in high school. My heart sunk low for the awful life they lived during that period of time. I would recommend this book to anyone, and most definitely those who are closed minded people.

The next book I picked off my pile was "Night" by Elie Wiesel. It sounds like a interesting read. I think someone on RR recommended it. Let's give it a try.......Banjo

I've only started to read the book but I believe he will be on my Author's list. He has a few more books out there that I have check on and he has my interest. As I read on and what I know about the "Holocaust" the survivors are the ones telling the true history behind the mass insane invasion by the Germans. There are still some people who will not admit or believe the penetrating and profound account of what really happened at that time......Banjo
