Description
Buffeted by grief at the death of her father and joy at the birth of her son, the poet explores and expands the boundaries of language, seeking affirmation in art and music. Her journey is viscerally personal, and yet the reader is beguiled, compelled to join in her vision and share in her enlightenment.
Carol Ann Davis directs the undergraduate creative writing program at the College of Charleston and edits the noted literary journal Crazyhorse. She was awarded the W.K. Rose Fellowship at Vassar College and was recently awarded an individual artist's grant in poetry by the National Endowment for the Arts.
