Ray Bradbury

Biography

One of the greatest writers of science fiction and fantasy in the world today, Ray Bradbury was born in Waukegan, Illinois, in 1920. He moved with his family to Los Angeles in 1934. To this day Ray Bradbury still lives in Los Angeles. So far he has published some 500 short stories, novels, plays and poems since his first story appeared in Weird Tales when he was just twenty years old. Among his many famous works are Fahrenheit 451, The Illustrated Man and The Martian Chronicles. Ray Bradbury passed away on June 5th, 2012. On 22nd of August, 2012, which would have been Bradbury's 92nd birthday – Nasa announced that the landing site of Curiosity was now called Bradbury Landing.
