Description

DEBUT FICTION

UK BESTSELLERWhat does it take to make us believe in the impossible?

For Dr. Alfred Jones, life is a quiet mixture of civil service at the National Centre for Fisheries Excellence and marriage to Mary--an ambitious, no-nonsense financier. Science says no. But if resources are limitless and the visionary is inspired, maybe salmon fishing in the Yemen isn't impossible. Then again, maybe nothing is.

As a consequence I wasn't sure about tackling anything else of his, but now you've maybe talked me into it.

My library reading group had this as a reading selection just before I joined. I'll have to pick it up- I've heard nothing but good things.

I loved this book. The format was entertaining as was the content. Not great literature, but an excellent read.
