Description

Grace is fascinated by the wolves in the woods behind her house; one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. Every winter, she watches him but every summer, he disappears. Sam leads two lives. In winter, he stays in the frozen woods, with the protection of the pack. In summer, he has a few precious months to be human ...until the cold makes him shift back again. When Grace and Sam finally meet they realize they can't bear to be apart. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human - or risk losing himself, and Grace, for ever.

I was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation. I fell in love with this trilogy last year and I am wondering if there are any books as exciting and wonderful as this one? Thanks

This series is quite unique so it is not obvious to suggest something just like it, but I will put forward two suggestions. For the historical feel I would suggest Graceling by Kristen Cashore for a great new series loved by many I would suggest Divergent by Veronica Roth and for a very personal favorite this year I would say The Wool by Hugh Howey. You should also check the Teen/Young Adult book club on our site, it is brimming with great suggestions! Happy Reading

There are quite a few that are similar but revolve around different creatures, there's the Strange Angle novels by lili s.t cole there brilliant I love then at the moment there's 5 books in the series but they include everything, a love triangle, drama, fights to the deaths, cross country escapes .. There about vampires and werewolves and rare girl vampires and seriously I couldn't put them down and waited eagerly for each book to come out.

There's also Hush Hush, about fallen angels that act as guardians, this is also a love story and again includes a lot of drama as a girl, Nora is still trying to get over the death of her father, which was an accident but turns out that it wasn't. I can't really say anything else because it will give to much away but if your interested you should read the blurb things. So good as at the moment this is also a trilogy.

Hope you have a look and enjoy these books as much as me, there are so many that are like the shiver trilogy but the list would be too long. Enjoy

I have heard that Kelly Armstrong's books about wolves are very good, however I haven't read them myself (although I do intend to), they are Bitten, Stolen then Frost Bitten. I also recommend The Mortal Instruments Series City of Bones, Ashes, and Glass, I LOVE them they are my favorite books!!

Maggie has such a way of writing - her prose is simply beautiful. Her characters are well developed and her imagery is simply amazing. The story of Sam - a boy who is about to become a wolf forever and Grace - a girl who is the only thing that... more
