Biography
Stephen Briggs lives in Oxford. As well as compiling THE DISCWORLD COMPANION and THE NEW DISCWORLD COMPANION, he has also co-authored the Discworld DIARIES, the MAPPS and has dramatised most of the Discworld novels. Terry Pratchett received a knighthood in the 2009 New Year Honours list; he was previously appointed OBE in 1998. He has six honorary Doctorates, and has won the prestigious Carnegie Medal. He reinforced his credentials as one of Britain's most-loved authors in the BBC's Big Read: only he and Charles Dickens had five books in the Top 100. He lives in Wiltshire. Stephen Briggs has collaborated with Terry Pratchett on a number of Discworld projects, including previous DISCWORLD COMPANIONS and the Discworld Diaries, and he has adapted most of the Discworld novels into stage plays that are performed all over the world. He lives in Oxford.
