The Cupcake Diaries

This is a great book for 'in the middle' readers. It is really easy to read and captures the imagination - you can really picture the scenes in your head.
Katie and the cupcake cure is about a girl called Katie, who has just started Middle School. Her and her best friend were supposed to meet each other at the bus stop and get the bus together, but her friend has other plans - she decides to walk to school with the Primary school students who have also moved up and made friends with Katie's friend.
Thus, Katie has to get the bus alone. At school, she hopes to be in the same class as her friend but she is out of luck. Just as she is beginning to give up, she meets new friends who love cupcakes, as well as her.
Katie sits with them at lunch because her friend sits with other kids all the time. Together, Katie and her friends decide to set up a stall for the school fete to raise money.
On the stall they sell cupcakes with the school colours, trying to beat the other children's stalls.

This book is really good and I would reccomend it to anyone!
