Unfortunately you cannot read all books for free on our site, however we do have a lot of free material to read and there are a few different ways to find it. First you can look on the title profile page: if there is a Google preview sign click on this link which will take you to Google books page where you can read free parts of the book. You can also often find another button on the title page: this one says read free sample chapter, clicking on that will take you to a PDF file which has a free chapter authorized either by author or publisher. Finally you can also go under Preview Books tab on the main navigation bar and follow the link to read free sample chapters. This will take you to a list of titles that either have a complete book or sample chapter available for you to read. The Hobbit is still under copyrights so the only place where you can read it for free is any library

I'm new too! I was wandering the same thing? I can't even upload a picture on here.

I am assuming that you are looking to upload your avatar if that is the case, go to My Profile tab and click on your user name (this is the first item on that menu) and than click on edit details button. this will bring you to the screen where you can upload an avatar image. It can be JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP file (File size limit is 4MB). I hope this helps, if you still have issues you can always contact as via support link which you will find at the bottom of every page.

I remember reading it before LOTR and still like it much better. For me, it's a more accessible story.

if you like tolkien you should try c.s.lewis' chronicles of narnia or terry brooks' shannara series or terry goodkind's sword of truth books

hi jazmin the hobbit was a very cute story of adventure that I would recommend it to be read befor LOTR books, even though it doesnt matter if u dont. It just ties in nicley with things that are said or events that happen in LOTR books that make u go oww! thats why that happened!
hi hellraiser ive already read the first four books in the chronicles of narnia series they are pretty good, so im thinking of getting the last three read after the LOTRs are done!
Amy-Laura commented:
The LOTR movies are amazing - if they weren't made I probably would never have read the books.
Tayubi commented:
Amy-Laura that's like me with the Jurassic Park series, so I guess some movie adaptations can work.
I have all the LOTR films...... My dad loves them even as he would with a lot action and war stuff.
