Description
In his widely acclaimed new collection of stories, Barnes addresses what is perhaps the most poignant aspect of the human condition: growing old. The characters are facing the ends of their lives--some with bitter regret, others with resignation, and others still with defiant rage.

Please try Saki's _The Unrest Cure and Other Beastly Tales_. Reginald's Christmas revelry is my favorite story of all of his. The humor is very dry, cuttingly British. Unlike Barnes, Saki does not directly delve into any sort of drama or emotion of the human condition. But it's a fun ride! Hector Hugh Munro was his real name, but Saki was his pen name.

I have never heard of this author before, thanks for the tip. I added it to my ever growing wish list. I just checked the site and read the titles description, sounds like a hoot
