Description

As a child, Dave Pelzer was brutally beaten and starved by his mother. The world knew nothing of his living nightmare and he had nothing and no one to turn to. But his dreams kept him alive - dreams of someone taking care of him, loving him and calling him their son. Finally, his horrific plight could no longer be hidden from the outside world and Dave's life radically changed. THE LOST BOY is the harrowing - but ultimately uplifting - true story of a boy's journey through the foster-care system in search of a family to love. The continuation of Dave Pelzer's story is a moving sequel and inspirational read for all. 'Essentially, THE LOST BOY is a story of regeneration and resilience ...What has made Dave Pelzer's story a bestseller is that it is also a story of redemption. It is a story where love, kindness, patience and endurance triumph' Daily Mail

Even though the preview didnt let me read the whole book , it made me second think about people and not jugde them cause the way they look or smell. You never know what they are going or been through. Love all and give everyone the respect that you want back. I feel so bad that he had to go through this and all at a young age but i am glad he survived and fought through eveyday and became a bright stong man ! <3 I happy you shared this story and you David Pelzer have inspired me to tell my life story. Thank you so much ;* - Beatriz Morales -

i love dave pelzers work he is truely amazing and for him to write his life time experiences is amazing and really emotional. he is my favirote author.

the story is basicially about him going into foster care and making friends and a brand new start but still afraid of getting back into his mothers clutches. terrified out of love; dave cant help but dream for a place to call home not a hell hole.

ever since his mother turned for the worst dave had nothing else to do but dream about that time were his family went to one of those special plaecs and had fun. this book is a sequil to his first book: ' a boy called it'.

Dave Pellzer writes another sequil to his first book...A boy called It...It's a very emotional time in Dave's chidlhood to strive towards his dreams. Dave also writes how the foster care system took him on a roller coaster ride...while he still kept striving for that dream...finding someone to care and love him and a place to call home.......

This is a really inspiring story of one little boy brave enough to come face to face with the one person he feared, and saying, "enough is enough." I thought this book deserves five stars. It gave me the strength and courage to stand up for my rights, and I admire David Pelzer for giving victims of abuse hope.
