Truly a great book with believable characters and a great plot. The last few chapters drag on abit but it is still prob my favorite. This could be because i read it during the swine flu epidemic which made a non scary Stephen King scary.

I agree with all of the above. It's one of the few i've re-read, and I plan to read the full version at some point just to see what I missed out on in the abridged. It's got the perfect mix of action and character development...

I've had the same copy of this book since I was around 17 years old. It is an old favorite that I come back to time and time again. The only bad thing is when I read it I get really nervous around anyone with a cold. :)

I totally know the feeling of being nervous around people with a cough or if they sneeze or something. The first time I read it I did have a cold. Eek.

I read the complete 1400 page no edited edition and it was WAY better than the regular 900 page version. This book was soooo good.
