Description

Okonowo is the greatest warrior alive. His fame has spread like a bushfire in West Africa and he is one of the most powerful men of his clan. But he also has a fiery temper. Determined not to be like his father, he refuses to show weakness to anyone - even if the only way he can master his feelings is with his fists. When outsiders threaten the traditions of his clan, Okonowo takes violent action. Will the great man's dangerous pride eventually destroy him?

I have been reading a lot of books lately but I have not read a book that really catches my attention like the books that I have read in the past... HELP! I need an interesting book or I might completely lose interest in reading. We don't want that to happen do we? (: Thanks

I hated reading this book in school but as an adult I really appreciate it. After you read this book, you will not stop thinking about it (especially if you watch the news). Can't wait to read it again.

I've recently read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. For anybody who had been intrigued by Heart of Darkness, this offers a less primitive side to the natives of Africa during the time of white European imperial colonization. While offering this new perspective, the author provides a stimulating plot with interesting characters. Also, if you enjoyed Imaro by Charles Saunders, Things Fall Apart offers another look at tribal life during colonization.

I liked the book. In the beggining only reading it because of a school assignment but I ended up finishing early it was a delightful book that I hope more people give a chance.
